Shots Fired In Newark: Police

Gunshots were fired in Newark on the early morning of Tuesday, May 21, authorities said.

Police are investigating the shooting.

At 12:41 a.m., police responded to the 300 block of 7th Avenue and confirmed gunshots were fired, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. A search of the area did not locate any victims, Fragé said.

The incident remains under investigation.
